Vauhti GS Base Super Liquid Binder Wax
There are many functional base binders on the market, but there is nothing comparable to Vauhti GS Base Super.
Vauhti GS Base Super is by far the toughest hard wax binder available, and when applied appropriately it often surprises by enhancing both speed and grip.
Simply put, we don’t bother with anything else - unless it is snowing or very cold dry snow (we reach for Vauhti AT Base).
GS Base Super base binder can be a real pain to apply correctly and this can put off skiers from using it. So Vauhti has made it easy!
GS Base Super in liquid form.
On a high pressure race day we still prefer an ironed-in GS Base Super from the tin as the overall time involved is much less.
More importantly, GS Base Super from the tin is often mixed with a stick wax to modify its properties.
But if you have the time to let GS Base Super liquid cure, not only will it work just about as good as the tin version but it is far more likely that a properly thin layer has been applied.
Geeky tip, if you have a favorite “recipe” for a GS Base Super and grip wax mix, try applying the stick wax to the ski base followed by an application of GS Base Super Liquid - immediately swirl the two together and allow to fully cure. Nearly indistinguishable!
