Star Skin Wax - 100ml
Skin skis come under the category of No-Wax skis, which can lead to confusion when a wax is recommended to boos performance.
"No-Wax" in this case means that there's no need for a grip wax to get grip. But performance of skin skis can be significantly improved by the use of appropriate glide waxes.
Treating the glide zones is understandable, but the reality is that the skin inserts are not all that great at gliding, and worse they can be prone to icing up.
Star makes two easily applied glide waxes for the skin inserts. Critically, the carrier fluid will not damage the tacky glue that keeps the skin on the base of the ski. Don't assume any liquid glide wax will be compatible as many of them will have solvents that will damage the skin.
Shake, spray, let dry. A quick brushing is nice but not necessary.
Plus is for temperatures +5°/-10°C
Minus is for temperatures -8°/-20°C
Note - if your skin skis have been out in old snow, use a skin ski cleaner before adding skin wax.
