Star Next Dark Liquid Glide Waxes
Star L:iquid Glide waxes have been enthusiastically received at all ski levels from World Cup racing all the way to casual good fun athletic skiing.
What's not to like? Some of the fastest cure times of liquid application glide waxes from any brand, surprisingly nice durability, and most of all very good glide.
But in these days without the crutch of fluorocarbon additives, it is ever more apparent that glide waxes for the best speed are bounded by conditions such as snow age. The original Star Next liquid glide waxes at times were astounding in their performance but it became apparent that the best performance was in new snow.
So Star reformulated the base ingredients and delivered these new Next Dark glide waxes.
These are very much intended for old, heavily transformed or man-made snow. A particularly good choice in abrasive and dirty snow.
Cold -6°C and -12°C
Medium -3°C and -8°C
Warm 0°C and -5°C
Application notes. Temperature recommendation use snow temperature. The very fast dry tines allow more than one thin layer to be applied - don't hesitate to try layers of different types (Med over Warm, for example). Roto-fleecing after drying almost always produces better speed. An ironed-in base layer will improve durability.
