Rode Plexiglass Ski Base Scrapers

$8.00

If you do your own hot waxing you'll need the necessary tools such as scrapers, groover cleaners, and brushes. And they're all cheap and very long lasting.

Plexiglass scrapers are easy to sharpen to maintain their effectiveness.

We recommend the 4mm thickness for most home ski techs.

The 3mm demands more skill in using as it can easily be bowed and not scrape flat. For an experienced tech this is an advantage, as many ski bases are not fully flat (especially near the tip!). Purposefully creating a bow is effective for scraping, unintentionally bowing the scraper could, long term, be detrimental to the ski base.
Also, the 3mm is nice for cleaning the double grooves on Rossignol skate skis!

The 4mm can also be intentionally bowed to scrape non-flat ski bases, but less likely to be bend or bowed unintentionally.

This description might be a hint that there is indeed some valuable technique to learn using a base scraper properly.
