Rode Blue Super Stick
Here's another Rode heritage grip wax that continues to defy expectations.
Sure, it can be used in typical blue range snow conditions and it will work and even be competitive at times. But it can be used as a cover wax to reduce icing in near zero conditions to protect the main gripping wax. And in old and cold snow where a green kick would seem to be the choice it can sometimes outperform your favorite cold waxes - and not ice up!
A great choice for a travel kit when you don't know what to expect but can only bring a minimal kit.
I have a great memory of a 55k ski in Finland where the day started at -15C and warmed to -6C; the snow was two days old with a heavy layer of overnight surface hoar but by the end of the ski the sun was bringing some moisture to the surface. Remarkable grip and glide all day, very fun to pass others who stopped to re-wax.
